Some Words About Me
Dr. Hopkins has more than 25 years of mental health and behavioral health experience. She has worked in various settings to include inpatient, outpatient, residential and juvenile justice systems. Dr. Hopkins has experience in providing treatment to family and couples, adults, adolescents and children with emotional, behavior, and substance abuse issues by utilizing a cooperative, personalized and individualized approach specific to the needs of each client. Her goal is to assist each individual regain control of their lives while maintaining a therapeutic alliance.
Dr. Hopkins received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1990, a Masters of Education Degree in 1994 from Mississippi College, a Masters of Heath Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2006 and a Doctorate of Professional Counseling from Mississippi College in 2015.
Dr. Hopkins became a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Mississippi in 2016.
Dr. Hopkins has been member of the American Counseling Association and the American Corrections Association since 2016.

Whole person focused individualized care is the way Mending Broken Bridges Counseling facilitates positive growth and change permanency. We involve members of our client's support system and treat our individual client's varying needs. This includes treating family members and collaborating on treatment with other identified entities. Mental health difficulties of one individual often affects others in their environment. To make the whole turn to one positive or the whole puzzle come together again, we can provide care to all of those involved.
